Anchor Property Managers Inc. is a trusted property management company dedicated to providing professional, reliable, and efficient services to tenants, property owners, and vendors. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our team and support our day-to-day financial and administrative operations.
Position: Accounting Clerk
Employment Type: Full-Time, In-Person
Location: Toronto, Ontario (on-site at our office in west end Toronto)at our office)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for 10 bank accounts.
- Complete monthly credit card reconciliations for 2 corporate accounts.
- Enter vendor invoices into the AP accounting system and generate payments.
- Prepare and issue monthly Notices of Termination (N4s) and Rent Increase Notices.
- Monitor tenant Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Communicate with head tenants as needed for AR collection.
- Draft basic agreements (e.g., parking, lockers) under supervision.
- Process rent and other cheques using the remote deposit capture machine.
- Issue vendor cheques and maintain proper records of disbursements.
- Assist with various ad-hoc administrative tasks to support office operations.
Qualifications
- 2-year diploma in Bookkeeping or equivalent; a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or in a similar accounting role.
- Solid understanding of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payment processing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for professional interaction with vendors, tenants, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with Buildium property management software is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
