Director of Corporate Operations – Lending & Compliance

Location: Cambridge, ON (In-Office Only)

Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We're not looking for someone to "oversee processes" or "manage teams." We need a builder who owns the machine—credit decisioning, collections, compliance, customer support, and all back-office/offshore execution. You will design and run the systems that keep the business sharp, compliant, and scalable. If your experience is mostly pushing paper or supervising support teams, this isn't for you. If you've actually architected, optimized, and run the engine room of a real lending operation, you'll find real ownership and authority here.

You'll:

  • Own the execution, optimization, and compliance of all lending workflows: credit decisioning, collections, customer support, and offshore operations.
  • Architect and implement operational systems that drive efficiency, accuracy, and audit-readiness across all business lines.
  • Scale and develop high-signal offshore teams to support retail, credit, and compliance.
  • Design and enforce policy, SLAs, reporting, and controls—think in systems, not one-off fixes.
  • Partner with Tech, Risk, and Retail to solve problems at the root and close feedback loops fast.
  • Drive automation and reporting that reduces manual work and eliminates excuses.

You Are:

  • A proven operator with 10+ years running complex, multi-function operations in consumer lending, fintech, or regulated financial services.
  • Experienced with scaling and managing 100+ headcount across geographies (onshore/offshore).
  • Fluent in process architecture, policy, compliance, and risk controls—you've built systems that auditors respect and staff can actually use.
  • Ruthless about execution, allergic to noise, and energized by creating order from chaos.
  • Data-literate: you track outcomes, not hours, and your dashboards drive decisions.
  • Calm under pressure, clear with people, and fast with root-cause problem solving.
