Urbantech
is the GTA's premier boutique Civil Engineering consulting firm. We have earned a reputation for excellence as a leader in the land development industry through many years of experience.

We are currently looking for an Office Administrator for our corporate office in our Markham office on a month-month Contract. You will act as the first point of contact to our guests as well as assist with office operations. If you pride yourself on delivering strong customer service, have keen attention to detail and are able to act independently, then this may be the opportunity for you to showcase your skills. Our chosen candidate will have a friendly manner and have proven customer service experience.

Office Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Act as first contact for the office ensuring a professional and friendly experience for clients, staff and suppliers;
  • Perform administrative support duties for corporate Managers as required (proofreading, printing, formatting and report assembly, etc);
  • Basic ability for agency research involving permits/ forms / protocols;
  • Respond to general inquiries by telephone, transferring calls to the appropriate team member as required;
  • Sort incoming mail and distribute to the appropriate team member;
  • Coordinate arrangements for courier shipments;
  • Maintain staff kitchen by ordering and/or arranging for maintenance of coffee and kitchen equipment;
  • Manage and order general office supplies;
  • Maintain office equipment, i.e. printers, plotters, etc.;
  • Maintain an efficient digital filing system by project numbers;
  • Liaise with property manager.

Office Administrator Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a corporate office providing reception support;
  • Experience working with tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities;
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work as a member of a client-focused team; providing prompt communication with team members about issues and/or concerns;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure while dealing with people in a courteous manner;
  • Proven organizational skills to balance the details and demands of the position; demonstrating a sense of urgency in completing time sensitive tasks;
  • Proficient in Office365 / Sharepoint, Adobe, etc.;
  • Exceptional word processing skills;
  • Commitment to confidentiality;
