Job Overview

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, to ensure efficient workflow
  • Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
  • Develop new menu items and contribute to menu planning based on customer preferences and seasonal availability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
  • Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold restaurant standards
  • Ensure timely service during busy hours while maintaining high-quality food output

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
  • Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
  • Background in the food industry, hospitality, or related fields is preferred
  • Exceptional culinary skills with an eye for detail in food presentation
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and efficiency
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative cooking techniques
  • Previous experience serving diverse customer needs within a restaurant setting is advantageous

Pay: $24.00-$29.45 per hour
