Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Your mechanical knowledge and customer service skills will be essential in diagnosing issues, recommending services, and upselling additional repairs or maintenance. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience and a passion for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service throughout their visit.
  • Assess customer needs and provide accurate information regarding automotive repairs and maintenance services.
  • Utilize your mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
  • Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service recommendations, and sales transactions.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while keeping customers informed about progress.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and securely, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar role at a dealership is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand automotive repair processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and providing solutions.
  • Sales experience with a proven track record of upselling products or services is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and security.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to customers.
