Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services. Your expertise in automotive repair and exceptional customer service skills will be essential in providing accurate information and recommendations to our clients, ensuring their vehicles are well-maintained and serviced efficiently.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression.
  • Assess customer needs by listening attentively and asking relevant questions regarding vehicle issues.
  • Provide detailed explanations of services recommended, including necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Utilize your mechanical knowledge to offer insights on automotive repair options effectively.
  • Upsell additional services or products that may benefit the customer's vehicle performance.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a secure cash drawer.
  • Collaborate with technicians to ensure timely service delivery and communicate any updates to customers.
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and keep records of customer interactions and transactions.

Qualifications

  • Background as a mechanic or strong mechanical knowledge, an asset
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
  • Sales experience, particularly in an automotive context, an asset
  • Familiarity with automotive repair processes and terminology is essential.
  • Strong upselling abilities to enhance customer satisfaction through additional services.
