Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a customer-focused attitude, ensuring smooth daily operations within our office environment. This role is essential in providing administrative support, managing front desk responsibilities, and assisting with various clerical tasks including some accounting and dispatch tasks.

You must have own transportation, we are not on a bus route. We are located at 1247 Redonda Street in Winnipeg.

Duties

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in Simply Accounting and other software.
  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and team members.
  • Handle filing, organization of documents, and maintain an orderly office environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as typing, proofreading, and preparing correspondence.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel & Word for various projects and documentation.
  • Support bookkeeping activities including invoicing, AccPay & AccRec and payroll ensuring financial records are up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance office efficiency and workflow.
  • Assist in dispatching & border crossing manifesting using manifest software.

Requirements

  • Previous office experience is preferred; experience in transport is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Experience with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and administrative support.
  • Typing proficiency along with strong proofreading abilities.

Pay: $15.80-$26.37 per hour
