Foothills Landscaping Ltd. is a respected provider of landscape construction, maintenance and snow removal celebrating our 60 anniversary We are looking for highly motivated, energetic individuals who have the same passion and desire to provide exceptional and quality service to our clients in Calgary and the surrounding area. If you are a solid worker with an eye for detail and certified to operate skid steers and loaders. You must have a flexible schedule and ready to work whenever the snow begins to fall and be prepared for the elements. You have the ability to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. During winter, a Guaranteed 30h Contract is offered to potential candidates. When it's demonstrated that you are reliable, dedicated and prove to be a valuable team member, this position can transition into year round employment as part of our summer landscape maintenance or construction teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearing snow from parks, parking lots, roadways and loading areas, plus other areas as assigned.
  • Operate equipment including; skid steers, polar traks, loaders, snow blowers, snow sweepers, backpack blowers and shovels.
  • Performing Ice checks, applying ice melt and/or sand to walkways.
  • Safe use of equipment and assists with inspecting, cleaning, lubricating and refilling equipment.
  • Working in accordance with Foothills Landscaping Ltd. policies and procedures. Adhering to all safety policies, rules and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Valid skid steer and or Heavy equipment certification,

Previous experience with; snow throwers, snow sweepers, backpack blowers and shovels is an asset.

Able to complete a background security clearance

Good communication, interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.

Ability to take direction (verbal and written), learn and work independently as well as part of a team.

Must be Reliable, Trustworthy and Punctual (various start times).

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform all other physical requirements (repetitive motion, bending, kneeling, standing).

High school diploma/GED.

Valid Class 5 license and reliable vehicle is required.
