Calgary, Alberta, Canada Spectrum Maintenance & Landscaping Full time $960,000 - $1,232,000 per year

Spectrum Property Maintenance Ltd is looking to hire a full time snow removal crew leader with the possibility to continue working full-time during the summer.

Compensation: $24-28 per hour with guaranteed minimum hours pay (120hr / month) in winter. Guaranteed hours are paid even if it didn't snow that month.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 2–4 crew members in snow removal and landscaping operations.

  • Ensure timely and thorough snow and ice removal from sidewalks and pedestrian access points on commercial properties

  • Operate snow removal equipment safely and efficiently, including ride-on machines, Gravely units, backpack blowers, and other related tools

  • Train and support crew members in proper operation, safety, and efficiency standards

  • Track and report crew time, site completion, and any maintenance or operational issues

  • Drive company truck (and trailer) to sites

  • Maintenance and minor repair of equipment

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the trucks and equipment

  • Maintain a professional personal appearance

Requirements:

  • Must have previous leadership or crew lead experience

  • Minimum 2 years of snow removal and landscaping experience

  • MUST have a Valid Alberta Driver's License and a clean driver's abstract

  • MUST have reliable transportation to and from work

  • Must be physically fit

  • Must be flexible with schedule. On-call 24/7 during the winter season

  • Ability to work long hours and in all types of weather

  • Being technically inclined (can fix small engines/trucks) is a big asset
