Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable Snow Removal Operator - Truck Plow to join our team for the winter season. The operator is responsible for safely clearing snow from assigned residential and commercial sites using a company truck and plow. This role requires reliability, strong communication, and the ability to work efficiently during active snow events. Those who demonstrate strong performance may be considered for summer landscaping work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a truck and plow to clear snow from assigned routes.
  • Perform hand shovelling or ice clearing in areas the plow cannot access.
  • Complete thorough clean ups to ensure surfaces are safe and passable.
  • Respond promptly to call-outs, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain truck and plow equipment, keep it clean, fuelled, and free of ice buildup; store equipment properly after use.
  • Follow all traffic laws and site rules to prevent damage or injury.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to provide updates on service completion.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of work quality and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of truck plow operating experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused during extended periods of driving in winter conditions.
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings, late evenings, overnight, and weekends as needed.

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:
