  • Maintain a detail-oriented and problem-solving approach to all accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Organize accounting files and perform accurate data entry on the company server.
  • Review weekly timesheets and expense reports for accuracy; prepare and distribute both soft and hard-copy summaries.
  • Ensure staff submit monthly expense reports with supporting documentation, and weekly timesheets in accordance with deadlines.
  • Prepare detailed expense and timesheet reports by expense type and project number, including proper HST segregation.
  • Create new projects in the system with complete client details, including A/P contact information, POs, and project numbers.
  • Make collection calls, track responses, and maintain up-to-date records of all communication.
  • Follow up on Accounts Receivable regularly via email and phone; provide weekly status reports to the Senior Accountant.
  • Maintain records of all cheque receipts and EFT disbursements both digitally and in physical files.
  • Prepare deposit slips and complete physical bank deposits.
  • Record and monitor petty cash expenses; reconcile petty cash transactions on a weekly basis.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with various tasks as assigned.
  • Prepare and provide semi-monthly payroll reports as required.
  • Offer accounting administrative support to staff and assist with general inquiries.
  • Perform administrative and accounting tasks in the company software under supervision.
  • Carry out any additional duties related to accounting as needed.
