Position Summary
Nanalysis is in an excitingly rapid growth phase with its subsidiaries, making the need necessary for an organized, forward thinking, motivated, and adaptable HR Generalist to join the HR team.
This position would be ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career in human resources, to continue to build on the skills they have already acquired, and to broaden their knowledge and experience base even further in a dynamic supportive team atmosphere.
Duties include assisting with: creating and maintaining employee records and files, employee onboarding, contract drafting, recruitment, benefits administration, ensuring proper compliance, performance coaching, policy development, employee relations, and producing reports for the department and other internal stakeholders.
The HR Generalist will report to the Director of HR. Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with experience.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Compliance
· Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR policies and employment standards
· Assist with workplace investigations, fact‑finding, discipline, and conflict resolution
· Assist with compliance with employment laws in multiple jurisdictions (Alberta, Canada-wide, U.S., France/EU) while supported by the team and outside resources
· Partner with legal or external counsel as necessary
Policy Development & Documentation
· Assist in the development, updating, and implementation of HR policies and procedural documentation
· Help to ensure HR documentation conforms with regulatory requirements and best practice
Performance Management & Coaching
· Support performance review processes
· Coach managers on performance issues, progressive discipline, and performance improvement plans
· Coach employees on performance expectations and development
Training & Development
· Assist with the design and delivering of training on HR best practices, compliance, and performance management
Benefits & Compensation
· Be one of the administrators of employee benefits
· As required coordinate with benefits providers and brokers
· Support compensation reviews and job evaluation
Payroll & Workers' Compensation
· Support payroll operations and HR/payroll compliance
· Support workers' compensation reporting, return‑to‑work coordination, and case management.
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Assist in aspects of full‑cycle recruitment from sourcing to onboarding.
· Partner with hiring managers on workforce planning and job postings.
Health & Safety
· Support the Health & Safety program within HR best practices.
· Assist in the incident reporting and that corrective actions are managed.
HR Systems & Reporting
· Help to maintain the HRIS data accuracy and reporting.
· Recommend improvements to systems and HR processes.
Background and Experience Sought:
· 3-4 years of progressive HR experience
· Employee relations experience, conducting investigations would be an asset
· Experience with provincial employment law compliance, primarily in Alberta, other jurisdictions would be an asset
· Policy development, documentation, and progressive discipline experience
· Full‑cycle recruitment experience
· Benefits administration experience
· Knowledge of workers' compensation processes
· Experience supporting payroll operations
· Excellent communication and judgement
· Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check for Reliability Clearance due to Federal contracts we hold

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
