Job Summary:
Working under the direction of the Senior Manager of Internal Media Planning, and in conjunction with the Communications & Marketing Brand Creative group, Marketing teams and the CBC Media Solutions Group, the Senior Specialist will develop and execute strategic plans for promotional elements on CBC's internal platforms (television, radio and digital) , with the goal of creating maximum awareness of CBC priority programming, building audiences and brand awareness.
An exciting opportunity for a strategic promotions thinker to assist in planning, researching and distributing content in support of CBC programming through CBC's internal platforms, with a specific focus on engaging audiences and achieving network linear and digital objectives, in collaboration with teams across Canada. The Senior Specialist will work collaboratively with the Marketing team to ensure promo priorities and cross promotional strategies are aligned on our internal platforms. Their objective will be to maintain continuity and accuracy of all on-air elements of CBC stations including promos, bugs, lower thirds and reformatted credits. In addition, they will liaise with the Creative Team to ensure successful promo delivery and readiness.

We're looking for a candidate with the following profile:
- 3 - 5 years' experience with creative scheduling within an agency environment and/or major broadcaster.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Independent thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to focus on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Innovative thinker.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated.
- Ability to build strong internal relationships and collaborate.
- Proficient with computer programs (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
- Knowledge of broadcast procedures and systems such as OnAir and Wide Orbit.
- Ability to understand marketing and communications strategies and how these strategies link to scheduling promotional assets.
- Extensive knowledge of CBC programming on all services (Radio, TV, and ).
- Ability to analyze program content and apply marketing principles to strategically position cross-promotion.
- Ability to generate reports on different aspects of our stations including ratings, promo usage and promo availability reports.
- On occasion required to work beyond normal office hours.
