Our client is looking for a skilled Marketing & Communications Specialist to join its growing marketing and communications team.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, the Specialist will be a communications "all-rounder", responsible for various tasks including but not limited to internal communications, campaign support, content development, as well as support for various communication strategies and tactical plans for corporate projects and initiatives.
The successful candidate must have a "can do" attitude and be comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels. We are a hybrid work environment and require attendance in the office a minimum of two days per week to ignite collaboration.
Position Details
Reports to: Director, Marketing and Communications
Must Haves:
Hybrid work environment - minimum of two days in office per week Formal training in marketing and communications or a minimum of 3 years in a similar role Responsibilities:
Support overall marketing and communications initiatives across the organization.Develop stakeholder communications pieces including but not limited to articles, FAQs, quarterly updates, etc.Support the creation, design and distribution of regular Eblasts Support industry campaign initiatives Help organize sponsorship and speaking opportunitiesManage and create internal communications using email marketing software File incoming invoices and receipts for platform billing (MailChimp, sprout social, etc.)Provide support for various corporate events including lunch and learns, Annual General Meeting and Employee SummitLiaise with external vendors such as photographers, promotional vendors, etc. to achieve identified deliverablesSupport production of digital content including podcasts, webinars, etc.Edit and proofread copy from various stakeholdersWork on several projects simultaneously while meeting established timelinesFormat deliverables in a visually compelling manner, sources appropriate imagery, etc.Proactively update online platforms (external website, etc.) with content as neededOther duties as assignedRequirements:
Formal education in a field relevant to Communications or Marketing is requiredMinimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar role is requiredExceptional business writing skills, with the ability to quickly identify the right tone/message and adapt for intended audiencesSolid understanding of communications best practicesStrong attention to detail and laser-sharp editing and proofreading skillsStrong time and project management skills including proven ability to work on several projects simultaneously while meeting established timelinesAdvanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as intermediate Excel skillsExperience with Mailchimp and other content management/newsletter softwareWork as part of a team and use constructive feedback to take your work to the next levelHas a "can do" attitude and proactively seeks solutions to problemsExcellent verbal communication skillsQualities for Success:
