About the Role:

DeeBesties Inc. is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented part-time bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate must have good knowledge of QuickBooks and be very good with Excel. This role involves helping the business stay organized financially, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial information and insights.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage financial data efficiently.
  • Prepare financial reports as required for management review.
  • Scan receipts and upload them into QuickBooks

Requirements:

  • Must have QuickBooks experience
  • Must be very good with Excel
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Able to calculate GST, PST, and other business expenses
  • Must be proactive in identifying cost-saving ideas
  • Able to work independently and handle sensitive information Absolutely
  • Input all business expenses into QuickBooks
  • Use Excel to help price products
  • Find ways the business can save money
  • Calculate monthly expenses, GST, PST, and business bills
  • File all company documents safely in folders
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned

Job Type:

Part-time (contract based)

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping practices and principles is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks or Sage, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
