Are you a talented and creative hairstylist looking for a part-time opportunity in a welcoming and supportive environment? Body Beautiful Day Spa + Salon, located in the charming courtyard of St. Andrew's Village in Aurora, is seeking an experienced hairstylist to join our team of beauty and wellness professionals.

About the Opportunity

This is an independent contractor position, commission-based. We are currently looking for full time availability in the new year (potential to start part-time in December). We're looking for someone who is eager to build lasting client relationships and grow alongside our team.

Body Beautiful Day Spa + Salon has been a trusted name in Aurora for over 30 years, providing exceptional services to our loyal clients. As a family-owned business, we pride ourselves on offering personalized care in a warm and inviting atmosphere where our guests feel at home.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of hair services, including cuts, colouring, styling, and treatments.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored styles or treatments.
  • Give all clients, for any given service, the appropriate retail product recommendations as part of the home care regime for total benefits and long-term results.
  • Stay current with hair trends, techniques, and best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation that reflects our spa's high standards.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Contribute to a strong team spirit and positive morale.
  • Actively promote services and build a personal brand through social media and other outreach efforts. While management supports marketing initiatives, growing a clientele is a shared effort between the stylist and the spa.

Qualifications:

  • Valid hairstylist license in Ontario.
  • Strong skills in cutting, colouring, and styling.
  • Excellent communication and client service abilities.
  • A positive, professional attitude and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Previous salon experience is an asset but not mandatory.
