Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing exceptional front desk support and assisting with various administrative tasks. This position requires familiarity with medical terminology, electronic medical records, and proficiency in phone systems. Experience with Healthquest software is preferred, particularly for those with a background in MOA.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries professionally.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems.
  • Assist with the completion of insurance forms and other administrative paperwork.
  • Ensure the office environment is welcoming and organized for both patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow and communication.
  • Utilize medical terminology effectively to assist in patient care and documentation.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as required to support office operations.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems Healthquest is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures relevant to patient care.
  • Proven ability to manage phone systems effectively while multitasking in a busy environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.

Pay: $15.25-$22.72 per hour
