Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support within a busy medical or dental office environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience with dental or medical office procedures is preferred, along with proficiency in office software and multi-line phone systems. The Medical Office Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing patient experience and supporting healthcare providers.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing a welcoming environment
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow using electronic scheduling systems
  • Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately
  • Assist with check-in and check-out processes, including collecting insurance information and payments
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, documents, and correspondence
  • Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing office supplies
  • Support billing and coding procedures using software like Accuro
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely delivery of services
  • Accounting and bookeeping on occasion

Experience

  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is highly desirable
  • Excellent English Language skills.
  • Familiarity with Medical practice management software such as Accuro and Wolfe is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems is essential
  • Office experience involving front desk responsibilities and administrative support is required
  • Experience working with multi-line phone systems in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are necessary for success in this role

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
