Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Clerk to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail sales and have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Sales Clerk, you will play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers by assisting them with their purchases, providing product information, and ensuring the sales floor is well-merchandised.

Duties

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
  • Share product information to showcase features and benefits effectively.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising techniques.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving stock, restocking shelves, and managing product displays.
  • Upsell additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers both in-person and over the phone.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change.
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette, to engage with customers professionally.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Ability to lift 20-50lbs.
