Senior Accountant – Audit
 for a well-respected mid-sized accounting firm in Downtown Vancouver. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently designated CPA to expand their technical expertise, work closely with experienced Managers and Partners, and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of private company clients.

The firm provides assurance, tax, and advisory services to privately owned businesses and not-for-profit organizations across a variety of industries. About the Opportunity
This position is ideal for a CPA who enjoys the challenge of assurance work and is looking to take on more responsibility in managing engagements and mentoring junior staff. You'll gain hands-on experience across different industries and work directly with clients while contributing to the continued growth of the firm's audit practice. Clear path forward to a Manager role. 

About the Position
Reporting to Managers and Partners, responsibilities will include:

  • Leading audit, review, and compilation engagements for private companies and not-for-profit clients
  • Preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with ASPE and IFRS
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff and providing coaching where needed
  • Identifying accounting and assurance issues and recommending practical solutions
  • Collaborating with Managers and Partners to deliver high-quality client service
  • Contributing to a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement

The Requirements

  • CPA designation (completed or near completion)
  • 2+ years of public practice experience in assurance or audit
  • Strong understanding of ASPE, IFRS, and Canadian assurance standards
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to professional growth
