Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a professional environment, utilizing advanced accounting software and tools to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting budgeting, auditing, and financial services operations within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping for our monthly, quarterly or annual accounting clients.
  • Preparation and filing of GST, PST, WCB, T4, T4A, T5, T5018, etc.
  • Payroll processing and payroll deduction preparation.
  • Working with CPA on client's corporation tax.
  • Prepare individual tax return for clients.
  • Prepare other tax documents file other government tax.

Requirements

  • Accounting degree or diploma.
  • Strong knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop and/or Online is required
  • Familiar with Caseware and Cantax.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • A fast learner with the ability to take new tasks in their stride.
  • Must be able to work some overtime (paid) in during tax season.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Mandarin Language is an Asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,589.60-$55,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
  • Tax Preparation : 3 years (preferred)
  • Accounting software: 2 years (preferred)
