Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for creating innovative and high-quality dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards to uphold our restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output
- Manage food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Oversee food inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling waste to optimize kitchen operations
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Lead team management efforts, including training new staff, scheduling shifts, and fostering a positive work environment
- Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety protocols in the kitchen
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that align with customer preferences and current culinary trends
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management
- Supervising experience with team management capabilities
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Exceptional culinary skills with a creative approach to menu development
- Experience in the food service industry, hospitality sector, or related fields
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with staff and serving customers
