This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, assisting physicians in providing patients' care and supporting clinical staff with various administrative tasks. Experience with office management systems and medical terminology is highly valued to deliver efficient patient care and office workflow.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment, verifying health cards, collecting payments for uninsured services
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (OSCAR EMR )
- Assisting physicians with preparing patients for the visit - vital signs ( taking blood pressure, temperature), obtaining weight, height , checking urine test , preparing injections and entering vaccinations
- Prepare and update patient charts, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks including data entry and document management, consultations and arranging follow up appointments
- Support the office with general clerical duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a MOA/ working in medical field
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)-OSCAR Pro
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Preference : completed Intramuscular injection course
- Office experience including front desk responsibilities and administrative support
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and providers. This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing quality patient care through efficient administrative support.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
