Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage appointment scheduling using electronic medical records systems
  • Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Prepare and organize patient charts, documentation, and other administrative paperwork
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry
  • Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming

Experience

  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with computers systems and electronic medical records systems
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures in healthcare settings
  • Demonstrated ability to handle front desk responsibilities efficiently while multitasking in a fast-paced setting
  • Previous experience in medical office environments is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
