Accounting Bookkeeper
This position oversees the accounts at the Halifax (HFX) Airport Hotel and possibly multiple properties.
We are hiring a full-time, Professional Accountant, one who has a minimum of 5 years' experience in a full cycle accounting position, and has completed either a college or university program with a concentration in accounting.
Applicant must have proficient knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Sage50 (Simply Accounting) - Nonnegotiable asset required
- Microsoft Excel – Pivot Tables, Formatting and Formulas
- Microsoft Outlook
- Bank Reconciliations
- Journal Entries
- Payroll
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
Other personal assets that are a requirement:
- Organization Skills
- Troubleshooting Abilities
- Spreadsheet reporting and analysis
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to file correctly
- Ability to assist supervisor with Monthly Financial Reports
- Ability to backup for Reception – answering door and phone
We are a small office with little staff with big responsibilities.
