Job Description
We're currently seeking a proactive and efficient Administrative & Accounting Assistant to join our client's reputable and local professional services firm in Halifax. This is a permanent, part-time role, offering 2–3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:Manage reception duties, including answering phones and greeting clientsAct as the primary point of contact for collecting and organizing client documentationFollow up with clients for outstanding forms, slips, or documentation Support onboarding and scheduling of client engagementsPerform basic internal bookkeeping including client billing and accounts receivableCollaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient workflowExperience & Attributes for Success:Prior experience in a similar office/operations role, ideally within an accounting or professional services setting is idealStrong organizational and time management skillsProfessional, clear communication skills (both written and verbal)Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environmentWorking knowledge of accounting or tax processes is an asset, but not requiredTech-savvy with familiarity in document management and scheduling tools
