Accounting & Payroll Coordinator

Bedford South Dentistry – Halifax, NS

Bedford South Dentistry is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated accounting professional to join our friendly team. We're a busy, community-focused dental clinic that values teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with bookkeeping and payroll experience who enjoys keeping things organized and running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process bi-weekly payroll
  • Handle employee benefits administration and related record keeping.
  • Perform general accounting duties, including reconciliations, accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable.
  • Assist with financial reporting and daily financial operations.
  • Support the Office Manager with accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Potential totake on other duties as assigned to help the team when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting (dental or healthcare experience an asset).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Comfortable using accounting and related software (Simply Accounting, Sage, and Microsoft Office).
  • Friendly, professional, and able to work well in a team environment.
