About Our Client

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Controller to oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making through insightful analysis.
Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential
, as this role will involve regular collaboration with stakeholders in both languages.

About the Opportunity

  • Direct the end-to-end accounting function, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and month-end close activities.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with GAAP or IFRS, ensuring adherence to all accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, perform account reconciliations, and oversee intercompany transactions to maintain financial accuracy and consistency.
  • Drive the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, collaborating with department leaders to analyze results and provide meaningful variance insights.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance internal control frameworks to safeguard assets, support audit preparedness, and ensure proper financial documentation.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis and recommendations that support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting with auditors and advisors.
  • Communicate effectively in Mandarin and English with internal teams and external partners across international regions.

About You

  • CPA designation (or working toward completion) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; advanced degree an asset.
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, and internal control best practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) and fully proficient in English.
  • Experience within a multinational or cross-border organization considered an advantage.
