**What you'll do**:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for the professional financial management of the hotel by providing timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to the Hotel and corporate management.
- Maintain a system of accounts and internal controls to provide accurate, timely financial statements, and to provide effective control over the assets, revenues and expenses of the resort
- Performs operational process reviews to ensure proper control systems are in place and associates are adhering to company policies and procedures
- Preparing general ledger forecasts and annual budgets with the General Manager
- Coach, develop and manage a team of accounting clerks, admin assistant, shipper/receiver & night audits
- Manage procurement function in the resort by developing and maintaining sound and accurate purchasing and receiving procedures with the General Manager
- Participate and contribute as a member of the resort Executive Team in developing policies and procedures in the hotel
- Perform & monitor all payroll duties as required
- Assist with property technology troubleshooting & project management
- Monitor, track & record all CAPEX related to the appropriate asset as per the company standards
- Update the monthly financial forecasts with the General Manager
- Be a custodian for all contracts & commitments schedule & respond to any inquires related to insurance needs
- Perform the month end reporting & commentary for the Head Office
- Completes Monthly Operating Summary Analysis with the General Manager
- Any other duties assigned by General Manager or Corporate Finance Team
**What you'll offer us**:
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic leader who has a passion for creating exceptional experiences, thrives in a fast-paced environment and fosters a culture of respect and positivity.
- University Degree or College Diploma with accounting focus preferred.
- Professional Accounting designation considered an asset. For ex. CHAE, CPA
- Minimum three (3) years in a Hotel Accounting role, ideally in a senior capacity.
- Hospitality experience is preferred but not required
- Advanced knowledge and extensive experience working with Opera, ADP, Squirrel, Excel, Adobe, M3 ERP System, First data, Moneris, & Elavon will be considered a strong asset
- Demonstrated results of process implementations and improvements, internal & cost controls, revenue maximization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Pay: From $115,000.00 per year
