Salary:
$140,000–$150,000 base + bonus

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced
Financial Controller
to oversee all finance and accounting operations for our organization. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow. The ideal candidate is CPA-designated, fluent in
Mandarin and English
, and comfortable working
onsite
in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all
    financial reporting activities
    in accordance with
    GAAP
    .
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Manage
    cash flow planning
    , monitoring, and reporting to support business needs.
  • Prepare and oversee
    annual budgets
    and
    financial forecasts
    .
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team; ensure strong internal controls and compliance.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to guide financial planning and performance.
  • Manage audits and collaborate with external auditors.
  • Develop and refine financial policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

  • CPA designation is mandatory
    .
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA an asset).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of
    GAAP
    , financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven experience managing
    cash flow
    in a mid- to large-scale organization.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
    (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work
    onsite
    full-time in Etobicoke.
