Toronto, Ontario, Canada Green Shield Canada Full time $74,269 - $92,837

WHO WE ARE
When it comes to health, we're always looking for ways
to push for better. It's why we were founded in the first place. In 1957, our
founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health
by forgoing her own medicine to pay for her sick daughter's prescription. He
knew there had to be a better way. So, he introduced North America's first
prepaid drug plan, and GreenShield was born as a not-for-profit with a mission
to support better health for all Canadians.

We aren't just a health and benefits company. We're
the only not-for-profit social enterprise that brings worlds of coverage and
care together, all in one place.
We're noble challengers, purposefully building a better
way and we need the best people to help us create a more holistic approach that
takes care of the mind and body.

Our mission is to create better health for all
Canadians, and we know that starts with our employees.

As a key driver of growth within the Business Development team, you will take a proactive and consultative approach to expanding our footprint and achieving ambitious revenue goals across Canada. • Respond to inbound business inquiries with precision and a client-focused approach, converting potential opportunities into actionable sales engagements.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), collaborating closely with internal teams, including client management, clinical, product, finance, and operations, to deliver winning solutions and execute compelling finalist presentations.
  • Employ a consultative selling approach to engage prospective clients, positioning our employee mental health solutions, telemedicine services, and broader health offerings to senior leadership audiences, including HR professionals, CFOs, and CEOs.
  • Establish and foster strategic partnerships with channel collaborators such as benefits consultants, insurance providers, and third-party administrators (TPAs), leveraging these relationships to expand market reach and drive sales.
  • Design and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals, tailoring content to address the specific needs and objectives of each prospect throughout the sales cycle.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed ambitious individual and team sales targets by prioritizing proactive engagement and leveraging strategic selling techniques.
  • Negotiate and finalize client contracts and agreements, balancing profitability with long-term relationship-building.
  • Forecast sales activity and pipeline metrics with accuracy, leveraging insights to inform and refine prospecting strategies.
  • Partner closely with the Client Management team to ensure seamless client onboarding and support cross-departmental initiatives that enhance the overall client experience.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, account management and/or consulting.
  • Proven success in pursuing and converting sales leads, with a demonstrated ability to exceed performance targets.
  • Expertise in solution-based selling, particularly to senior executives and HR leaders.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a talent for simplifying complex solutions.
  • Experience managing lengthy and multifaceted sales cycles, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • A deep understanding of the employee benefits and health services landscape in Canada.
  • Experience creating client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail and prioritize.
  • Technologically agile, adept in learning and integrating new applications and platforms.
