We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Barista to join our team. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the café manager in the day-to-day operations of the café and ensuring that all customers receive exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead closer of the café, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that the work area is clean and organized
  • Train and supervise other baristas, ensuring that they are following café procedures and delivering high-quality beverages and customer service
  • Assist the café manager in ordering supplies, managing inventory, and scheduling staff
  • Prepare high-quality coffee and other beverages, and ensure that all products are consistently delivered to the café's standards
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues that arise in a professional and timely manner
  • Process payments and keep accurate records of cash and credit card transactions
  • Maintain a positive attitude and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers
  • Collaborate with the café manager to develop new menu items and promotions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed when handling food and beverages

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a café or coffee shop environment
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of coffee and its brewing methods
  • Ability to operate and maintain equipment such as espresso machines and grinders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 26 per week
