A modern French-inspired bakery and café in Vaughan (steps from Maple GO Station), Fleur De Lys is seeking an experienced Barista/Café Supervisor to help uphold the welcoming, artisanal spirit of our bakery-cafe.

About the Role:

As a Supervisor, you will guide the daily rhythm of our café—crafting beautiful beverages, supporting your team with confidence and care, and ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, memorable experience.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare espresso-based drinks and specialty beverages with consistency, quality, and attention to presentation
  • Lead, train, and coach staff, fostering teamwork, communication, and professional growth
  • Cultivate a warm, guest-focused atmosphere that invites people to return
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and elegance of the barista station, dining area, and equipment
  • Navigate busy and difficult moments with composure, ensuring excellent service at all times
  • Assist with serving pastries and light snacks
  • Keep POS items updated; familiarity with Square POS is an asset
  • Monitor inventory needs and communicate ordering requests to management
  • Support smooth operations including transactions and general café care

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous Barista experience of at least 2 years (required)
  • Previous Supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Strong customer-service presence and the ability to resolve concerns with poise
  • A genuine appreciation for coffee, pastries, and French café culture
  • Comfort working in both calm and high-paced periods
  • Knowledge of food safety; Food Handler Certificate is a plus

Position Details:

  • Type: Full-time (3–5 shifts/week)
  • Shifts: Morning and/or afternoon, including weekends (our hours are 7am to 7pm)
  • Availability: Flexible weekdays + weekends required
  • Wage: $18/hr + tips, with a raise after probation
