Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Markham, ON, for a VEX Robotics Coach. As a coach, you will guide and mentor students in designing, building, and programming robots for competition within the club-designed robotics curriculum. Responsibilities include organizing and leading fundamental robotics class, teaching STEM concepts, fostering teamwork, and cultivating students' passion into STEM filed. Additionally, you will collaborate with team members, offer constructive feedback, and encourage problem-solving and creativity in a hands-on learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Robotics and Programming
  • OCT or has robotics competition experienced preferred
  • Excellent Communication skills, particularly with students and team collaboration
  • Proficiency in STEM principles and concepts to support the team with technical instruction
  • Experience in Training and mentoring students in a learning or competitive environment
  • Familiarity with the VEX Robotics platform and competition process is a plus
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a related field such as Robotics, Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred
  • Passion for education, mentoring, and STEM development
