Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Salon Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth salon operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting our stylists and clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have a passion for the beauty industry. Abilities and experience in retail or technical sales are a plus, enabling effective engagement with diverse clientele and promoting salon products and services. We also welcome a team player that has social media capabilities.

Duties

  • Greet clients warmly and manage appointment scheduling to optimize salon flow
  • Assist clients with product selections, upselling salon services, and promoting retail merchandise
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, POS transactions, and basic math calculations
  • Conduct product demos and provide information about salon offerings to enhance customer experience
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the salon, organization of the reception area and retail displays
  • Manage phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and scheduling assistance
  • Support inventory management, merchandising, and stock replenishment
  • Coordinate with stylists to ensure timely service delivery and client satisfaction
  • Utilize technology tools for appointment booking, sales tracking, and customer relationship management
  • Provide assistance to stylists by washing hair
  • Social media posting

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Prior experience in retail sales, customer service, or technical sales preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills
  • Ability to perform product demos and upsell services or products confidently
  • Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Professional phone etiquette and excellent customer service orientation
  • Social media capabilities to keep our salon up to date professionally
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail operations is advantageous
  • Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
