Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Salon Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall success of our salon. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for the beauty industry. Multilingual and bilingual skills are highly valued to assist a diverse clientele. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your sales and customer service expertise while contributing to a vibrant salon atmosphere.

Duties

  • Greet clients warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their salon experience
  • Manage appointment scheduling using POS systems and maintain accurate client records
  • Assist clients with product demos, upselling retail products, and providing personalized recommendations
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and balancing registers
  • Promote salon services and retail merchandise through effective communication and merchandising strategies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and retail displays
  • Support technical sales efforts by demonstrating products and explaining features to clients
  • Manage phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, scheduling appointments, and answering client questions
  • Coordinate with stylists and staff to ensure efficient daily operations and time management

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or customer service preferred
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
  • Proficiency with technology sales tools, POS systems, and basic computer applications
  • Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively to maximize sales opportunities
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills for engaging with clients
  • Previous experience in technical sales or retail sales is advantageous but not required
  • A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a passion for the beauty industry are essential

This role provides an exciting opportunity to grow your sales expertise while delivering memorable experiences for our clients in a professional setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.20-$23.75 per hour
