As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys balancing accounting responsibilities with property management operations. You will play an essential role in supporting both the financial and administrative success of our commercial real estate portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Administration

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments using QuickBooks and Yardi Breeze.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and tenant ledgers accurately.
  • Support month-end and year-end reporting, including financial summaries and expense tracking.
  • Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Administer payroll, employee benefits, and deductions accurately and on schedule.
  • Coordinate tax compliance and remittance with external accountants or advisors.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial and tenant records for multiple commercial properties.

Operations & Administration

  • Coordinate day-to-day building operations, including scheduling and communication with maintenance staff and contractors.
  • Manage tenant maintenance requests using Jobber, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Organize and maintain lease documentation, renewals, and compliance files in Yardi Breeze.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and service providers in a professional manner.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and internal documentation for management review.
  • Monitor and maintain property management systems (Yardi Breeze, Jobber) for updates and alerts.
  • Ensure all regulatory, insurance, and health & safety documentation is current and properly filed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, administration, or operations (experience in commercial real estate or property management preferred).
  • Proficiency with Yardi Breeze and QuickBooks required; experience with Jobber is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and data accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with close attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
