Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the preparation of assurance engagement files, including audits and reviews
  • Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with ASPE and ASNPO
  • Prepare compilation engagement working paper files
  • Prepare financial statements as part of working paper files
  • Stay current with assurance and quality control requirements
  • Maintain an understanding of personal and corporate tax returns
  • Liaise with tax authorities during audits and when responding to information requests
  • Support and uphold the firm's vision while staying self-motivated to achieve its objectives
  • Communicate effectively with clients
  • Provide bookkeeping support, including maintaining accurate records and assisting with reconciliations

Qualifications:

  • University degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • CPA designation is an asset, including candidates currently pursuing it.
  • Experience with CaseWare, TaxCycle, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Sage Accounting, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Self-motivated, with a genuine interest in learning and growth.
  • Able to manage several projects at the same time while meeting deadlines.
