The Role

We're looking for a
Staff Accountant
who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about supporting clients with accurate and reliable financial information.

You'll work closely with Senior Accountants, Managers, and Partners to maintain financial records, support month-end processes, and help deliver high-quality service and insights to our clients. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants exposure to a wide variety of industries and a clear path for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for assigned clients.
  • Perform daily and monthly bookkeeping tasks, including bank reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and working papers for financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Assist with sales tax filings and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Senior Accountants and Managers to prepare financial statements and management reports.
  • Communicate with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide clarity when needed.
  • Support audits and year-end engagements by preparing required documentation.

What You Bring

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a public accounting environment.
  • Progress toward CPA designation (or desire to pursue it) is a strong asset.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-centered mindset.
  • A willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
