Overview

As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our purchasing processes and ensuring the effective management of our supply chain. Your expertise will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, enhance supplier relationships, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations. You will be at the forefront of negotiating contracts, conducting market research, and managing procurement activities to meet the organization's needs.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
  • Manage supplier relationships through effective vendor management practices to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms while ensuring compliance with information security standards.
  • Oversee purchasing activities across various departments, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and supply chain requirements.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle to streamline procurement processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT sourcing initiatives and enhance overall supply chain management.
  • Monitor contract performance and manage contract renewals or modifications as necessary.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems, particularly SAP or Oracle, for procurement activities.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in contract negotiation and management within a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes related to procurement activities.
  • Knowledge of information security protocols relevant to vendor management in IT sourcing.
