**IT Procurement Specialist**

**Who we are looking for**

You will be collaborating with key stakeholders from across the organization to source and procure equipment and services, develop policies and procedures, automate processes, provide analytical insight, and contribute to our expense management goals. Financial acumen is essential and experience working with accounting ERPs will be an asset in this role.

**What you will do**
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT products and services, including hardware, software, licenses and professional services.
- Partner with IT and IM team members to establish robust and efficient procurement processes.
- Assess vendor & purchasing cost performance; provide recommendations to IT leadership regarding purchasing negotiations and strategies.
- Maintain accurate information within IT inventory & asset systems, also within Finance & Accounting systems.
- Procure ISPs, phones, staff equipment (computers, network gear, computer equipment), printers and other IT technology.
- Assist IT leadership with expense management, forecasting and budgeting.
- Prepare reporting and lead management discussions around expense trends and performance versus budget.
- Assist in tracking and measuring project spend versus budget.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor information.
- Monitor and track IT procurement activities, providing regular reports and updates to management.
- Manage vendor relationships and conduct performance evaluations to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and service level agreements.

**What you bring to the table**
- Related post-secondary education and industry certification.
- Proven experience as an IT Procurement Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of IT procurement practices, including sourcing strategies, vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with a wide range of IT products and services, including hardware, software, cloud solutions and IT consulting services.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Strong ethics and integrity, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and acting in the best interest of the organization.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with managing inventory, shipping & logistics.
- Proven experience building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors & 3rd parties.
- Experience with Oracle ERP is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and listening communications skills.
