We are growing and are now looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team

Job Summary

As an Automotive Service Advisor at Midas Stratford, you will be the face of our shop—supporting customers, managing repair orders, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring an excellent service experience from start to finish.

We are looking for someone who is experienced, professional, customer-oriented, and knowledgeable in automotive repairs and maintenance.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales

  • Greet customers, understand their concerns, and accurately document vehicle issues.
  • Provide repair recommendations with clear explanations of required work.
  • Prepare and present estimates and invoices.
  • Communicate effectively regarding timelines, approvals, and service updates.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through honesty and transparency.

Shop Coordination

  • Open and close work orders in the POS system.
  • Schedule appointments and manage workflow.
  • Coordinate with technicians and ensure work is completed efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment.

Technical Knowledge

  • Provide knowledgeable explanations of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance needs.
  • Understand labor times, parts usage, and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with Midas operational standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repairs and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy shop environment.
  • Proficiency with automotive shop management or POS software.

Preferred

  • Experience in a franchised automotive shop (Midas, Mr. Lube, Jiffy Lube, Canadian Tire, etc.)
  • Ability to upsell services ethically and confidently.
  • Valid Ontario G driver's licence.
