Nationex is looking for a
General Manager of Operations
. Within this team, the purpose is to promote operational excellence and decarbonize our supply chain. Specifically, for the Toronto region, the mission in the coming years will be to develop the network for growth. Reporting to the Vice-President, Operations, you will be responsible for all operations assigned to you. This opening is located at our Mississauga warehouse.

The Regional Director of Operations, Ontario will be responsible for :

  • Act as an ambassador for our culture, our values (Flexibility, Customer Centric, Reinvented, Collaboration, Commitment) and Gestionex.
  • Take charge of the health and safety management program to ensure its compliance at all times, both for the health and safety of employees, road safety and the legal compliance of our industry within the operations of its region.
  • Contribute to the annual budget forecasts and manage the cost control plan for his/her region.
  • Develop strategies to maintain the competitiveness and innovation of the company's operations for its region.
  • Design, deploy and improve work tools to manage the performance of operations in your region.
  • Ensure the operational performance of sorting centres and depots in your region.
  • Establish and maintain quality processes for parcel delivery according to the national standards established by the Management Committee.
  • Follow the process of the customer package journey to ensure traceability at all times.
  • Participate in the onboarding process for new customers in your region in collaboration with the Sales and IT departments.
  • Recommend the purchase of strategic equipment (vehicles, trailers, forklifts, conveyors, etc.) for your region based on the operational excellence strategy.
  • Negotiate, get approved and manage contracts with various suppliers, carriers and delivery partners.
  • Ensure the prioritization and timely completion of various operational projects related to your region.
  • Effectively manage the planning of the workforce in your region according to the variation in volume.
  • Monitor performance indicators for the departments under his/her responsibility and achieve targets.

If you have the following qualifications, we want you on our team:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on developing customer relationships.
  • University degree, in business administration, logistics or engineering;
  • Knowledge of the French language will be considered a strong asset.
