Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Filipino Home Support Worker in to provide quality care and assistance to clients in their homes. This role involves supporting individuals with various needs, including elderly residents, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized care. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized support, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals
- Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, ensuring safety and engagement
- Use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges
- Maintain cleanliness of the home environment through light housekeeping tasks
- Follow care plans meticulously to deliver personalized support aligned with healthcare directives
- Document patient observations accurately while adhering to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Engage in patient monitoring activities, including tracking progress and communicating updates effectively
- Assist with transportation or accompany clients to appointments as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, home & community care, or long-term care settings
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including ADL assistance, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, autism spectrum disorders, and hospice or palliative care is preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication within a team environment
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety oversight
- Compassionate approach with patience and empathy for diverse client needs
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of client information
