Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Russian Speaking Home Support Worker to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to individuals in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in Russian and have a genuine passion for helping others, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges.

Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and observing changes in the client's condition.
  • Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment through regular cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
  • Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals and assist with medication administration when necessary.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
  • Assist clients with mobility needs, including the use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts when required.
  • Document patient observations accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Experience

Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:

  • First aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia care experience is a plus.
  • Background in caregiving or direct support roles that involve patient monitoring and heavy lifting.
