Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various healthcare and community settings. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or hospice support. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives through empathetic caregiving and professional support.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Administer medications following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Support clients with mobility challenges through safe lifting and transfer techniques
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks
  • Monitor health status, report changes to healthcare professionals, and assist with basic medical procedures as trained
  • Support clients with activities of daily living in home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings
  • Assist with case management tasks including documentation, scheduling appointments, and coordinating services

Qualifications

  • Certified Personal Support Worker or as a Health care Aide
  • Experience working with people with disabilities, dimentia or in assisted living facilities is a plus
  • Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Bilingual caregiver (French & English)
  • Basic understanding of cleaning procedures to maintain hygienic environments
  • Certification or training in caregiving, first aid, or CPR is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
