Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our dynamic team in Dieppe, New Brunswick.

Reporting to the Controller, the Intermediate Accountant is responsible for performing accounting/finance functions, reporting and other related duties contributing to the success of Imperial Manufacturing Group.

Work to be Performed:

  • Full cycle accounting support, including month-end journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Ensure compliance with established accounting standard procedures
  • Prepare templates, wire payments and other banking tasks
  • Maintain accounting schedules
  • Assist on year-end audit files
  • Work on special projects as requested
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of related work experience
  • University degree in accounting. Working towards your completion of CPA Accounting designation is an asset.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to meet reporting deadlines as required
  • Intermediate level with Microsoft Excel is required
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Experience using an ERP system (Oracle) is an asset
