Job Description

Are you a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional in the Fredericton, NB area? We're seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our client's dedicated team in Hanwell. This contract opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys being part of an energetic team.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

Process and record accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoices, cheques, HST remittances, member payments, and Autopay processingReconcile general ledger accounts, vendor statements, and bank deposits, identifying and resolving discrepanciesAssist with month-end and year-end close, audits, and preparation of financial reportsSupport budgeting, reporting, and process improvements, including system and procedure developmentComplete special projects and other duties as assigned

Experience & Attributes for Success:

Diploma in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in a related accounting roleIntermediate proficiency in accounting/bookkeeping software and Microsoft Excel; basic proficiency in Word and OutlookStrong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilityHighly organized, able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentClient-focused with strong interpersonal and communication skillsRespectful, collaborative, and ethical approach to work
