Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator/Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. In this multifaceted role, you will provide essential administrative support within a busy medical practice while also performing phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples for diagnostic testing. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellent patient service will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and a positive experience for all patients. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and perform insurance verification to facilitate seamless check-in processes
- Schedule appointments using Accuro ensuring efficient clinic flow
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and updating patient files
- Perform phlebotomy procedures following proper protocols to collect blood samples while maintaining patient comfort and safety
- Manage front desk operations including answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette and managing patient inquiries
- Support clinic management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining health information management standards in compliance with PHIPA regulations
- Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring a welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office administration or healthcare setting with familiarity in office management and clerical tasks
- Certified or experienced in phlebotomy techniques with knowledge of proper specimen collection procedures
- Proficiency with Accuro
- Excellent computer skills
- Knowledge of PHIPA regulations and health information management standards to ensure confidentiality and compliance
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Strong communication skills with professional phone etiquette; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
