The Position:
This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and assist with financial reporting.

What You Will Do:
· Process accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing, billing, and collections
· Issue payments to vendors
· Maintain organized records for audits, insurance, and compliance requirements
· Collaborate with Project Managers to track job costing and budgets, ensure payment is received promptly
· Assist with financial reporting and forecasting when needed
· Process credit checks on potential/new customers
· Maintain accurate ledgers in ERP system
· Record revenues and expenses in an organized manner
· Prepare sales tax documentation
· Assist with other administrative tasks as it relates to finance and operations as assigned
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in Accounting, preferably in the construction or fire protection industry
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel skills, embraces technology, new digital tools, ERP, etc.
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Ability to thrive in a deadline driven, team focused environment
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong knowledge regarding financial statement preparation and experience in budget and forecast preparation an asset
